Samples ready to go.

Well ok, the weekend before last.

We hope you all enjoyed the tasters & goodies that you bought as much as we enjoyed chatting with you at Fargo.

It’s a great venue for all sorts of things so keep an eye on their website for more events in the future.
Next event we plan to attend there is in October (I think!).

In the meantime here are some more piccies for those that missed out:

Fargo Village LogoIt’s been some time since we’ve made it out and about to sell our products in person so this Saturday we will be at the lovely and quirky Fargo Artisan Food & Craft Market.
Please come along, say hello and take a look at what we have on offer as well as have a browse around the other stalls & interesting shops at Fargo (Great coffee and now beer being among them)!

It doesn’t seem so long ago since one of our early posts about pick your own  but it’s that time of year again.

Websites & social media mean it’s really easy to keep in touch & find out what goodies are ready to be picked where. Last weekend we made the trip to one of our closest & favourite pick your own at Malt Kiln Farm where we found some mighty fine looking rhubarb patches, small but well laden gooseberry bushes and of course the ever popular strawberry fields.

So we came back after only an hour in the sunshine with a “good haul” of rhubarb (can’t remember what we had planned for this yet!), some nice hard gooseberries (for jam with elderflower and hopes of another spicy pickle/chutney to go alongside the ever popular mango chutney & not for the feint hearted lime pickle), and of course Strawberries to start on what will need to be several batches of bright red “Summer in a jar” jam if demand over the past year is anything to go by.
